Designer & Engineer
From pixels
to production.
Came up in design. Ended up in the codebase. Now leading frontend on software where the exams can't go down.
Currently: Frontend Lead at Paradigm Testing
SECTION I — PORTFOLIO
Selected Work
PLATFORM MIGRATION · 2024–PRESENT
Knock Examination Platform
Led frontend migration of a production medical examination platform from JSP/jQuery to React + Tailwind + Vite. Owned UX redesign alongside migration, targeting recapture of lost performance and $30–40K monthly third-party costs.
DATA VISUALIZATION · 2025
ICOC Admin Map Dashboard
Freelance full-cycle delivery: a Leaflet-based choropleth dashboard on a Firestore backend. Solo delivery from requirements gathering through design, development, and client handoff.
CONTENT PLATFORM · 2024–PRESENT
GA TCG Sandbox Site
Marketing and documentation site for a Unity-based digital sandbox tool — every content source (config, patch notes, feature guide) loads from a GCS bucket the client team owns directly. No deploys, ever, for content changes.
PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION
Frontend Performance Work
A six-week Vite build-performance audit across both tenant-facing portals — route-level code splitting, tree-shaking, and CI-enforced gzip budgets. Admin bundle down 98.5%, candidate portal down 99.7%.
SECTION II — ABOUT
Background
My path into engineering ran through five years of professional graphic design and marketing. At Paradigm Testing I've built across the full stack — React component systems, Spring Boot features, production incident response, and frontend performance work. I lead scrums, review code, and am the person the business team calls when something breaks during a live medical licensing exam.

ALSO TRUE ABOUT ME
I'm one of the key members of the Love and Deepspace community in the DMV area — a game with an overwhelmingly female fanbase. I hand out fan art freebies, meet up with other players, and help run festival events, including selling game-themed merch at a local community celebration. It started as a fun excuse to make things, but it turned into something more — a space where girls who'd normally feel self-conscious can get dressed up, be a little dramatic, and be met with nothing but encouragement. That's a good reminder that community design isn't just a UX problem — it matters just as much in person.
AND ALSO THIS
I've been playing Grand Archive — the same indie TCG I later built freelance tooling for — since 2024, and I've helped grow the local Maryland scene ever since. What started as four of us at a card shop in mid-2025 is now a weekly group averaging eight, with a past season's store championship pulling in 22 players. I contribute by trading staple cards, handing out sticker freebies at major Maryland events, and demoing the game to total beginners — including girls who are just casually curious. TCG spaces skew heavily male, and I want to be one of the people actively working to make this one more welcoming to everyone who wants to sit down and play.
